I don’t think that I will purchase unsniffed, but I will be looking for some samples or decants. I am tempted to order Mon Numero 6 just based on your review though. I am a big Duchaufour fan, so that complicates things. I am not a big fan of the city exclusivity issue, and I am a little baffled about how well it works for the companies. I guess that it drives up interest because of the difficulty in getting a bottle, but I would prefer companies to make nice fragrances available to everyone. I tend to ignore the city exclusives or even the non-export SL fragrances because I don’t want to work that hard for a bottle of perfume. I do wish that I could get my hands on some SL Bois Oriental though!

I hate that the companies make it so hard for their customers, I guess it ups the interest though.

If you need Bois Oriental, you can always drop me a line, I’d be happy to buy it for you and send it on. I would love to help, just let me know! 🙂

I don’t approve at all of city exclusivity. I shall be reading your reviews with care .

City exclusivity utterly baffles me. I don’t see how they can make money on it. And it’s annoying! I hope they come out with a travel set, maybe 5ml of each with one of their “Nomad Sprayers”? That would be a terrific traveler’s set, and make a lot more economic sense than “city exclusives” as well. I would certainly buy such a fun set. Ormonde Jayne has a sampler/traveler’s set, and I’ve already gone through 2 of them!

Me too, Marla! Do they really make more money that way? Because that is what counts isn’t it? A travel set would be grand, but I have no hope. 😦 The OJ set is the best indeed!

I have been eagerly awaiting these new perfumes. I must be blind though because I cannot find them on their website. The city exclusives pique my interest though as I would like to know more about why certain cities were chosen and how the perfume evolved. A travel set would certainly be ideal – perhaps as a Christmas season offer?

City exclusivity is just so grating to me. But, irritation aside, Mon Numero 7 may be an unsniffed purchase for me. I have you to thank/blame for that! 🙂 In all seriousness, though, thank you for your reviews and for keeping us informed. I hope you know we all appreciate it!

Thank you, that is very nice to hear. 🙂
I can’t imagine local people to storm the L’Artisan boutiques and buy up all the exclusive bottles. Maybe they do, only to send them on across the world to other Perfumistas though! 🙂
