Since this blog is written in English the majority of my readers comes from English-speaking countries, mostly the US and Canada, as well as the UK. I have talked to several of you from European countries as well, but aside from loyal readers and commenters Lady Jane Grey and Georgy, I have no idea whether there are a few local readers too.
A commenter (Tulip, hi!) suggested to me to organize a Sniffapalooza-like event in Vienna, and while that would have to be a very much more low-key affair, it got me thinking.
I would love to organize a sniffing event at Le Parfum for example, where we could gather, drink champagne and sniff our way through their huge inventory. It would be lovely to get to know like-minded people and do what we like best – together. 🙂
So, if any of you live in or around Vienna, please, let me know if you are reading and would be interested in such a meeting.

I was just thinking about this the other day! I for one would be interested in such an event and I hope Le Parfum would agree. Thank you for coming up with this idea.
Yay! I will make a list with possible attendees and if we are enough I will organize it, I am certain Le Parfum will agree to hosting this. 🙂
I’d be there for sure, Birgit !
That is great! Let us hope some more Viennese come out of the woodwork.
How aboit getting Denyse to give a mini-lecture, and ask Andy Tauer and Vera, and ……!!!! Vienna seems so interesting, but sadly I’m too far away (Texas). Museums, coffee shops, etc (thinking Frank Tallis mysteries (http://www.franktallis.com/author.htm) and The Hare With Amber Eyes – so literary event too. Haha, Have fun. You must do it, it’s time.
Well, all these people are not exactly in Vienna…:)
This might come as a surprise for you but I live in Vienna and would be interested……
Not surprised, but delighted! 🙂
Let us hope there are a few more willing to sniff their way through Vienna!
Is Zagreb close enough? 🙂
Sure, and take Ines with you! 😀
Hi! I’m a new reader – a couple of days ago I stumbled over your blog searching for a review of aura by Swarowski (brr) and imagine my surprise finding a wonderful fragrance blog written by someone living in my hometown. Sadly I’m no perfumista – just searching for *my* fragrance since about a year. It may be CdC Avignon or OJ Champaca. 😉 Anyway, just wanted to congratulate you to your blog, It is very well written and feels very cosy!
Hi Tpring,
I am glad you found me and took the time to comment!
The search for a signature fragrance is a wonderful one, you seem to have found two very nice choices already, maybe you’d want to go with Champaca for summer and Avignon for winter?
Thankfully it is not Aura! 😉
Frohe Ostern!
I shall very likely be coming to Vienna later in the year, but not sure quite when yet! Even if I miss the sniffing event, would look you up and of course check out Puredistance 1 in its exotic habitat! : – )
That is great news! I would love to meet you and go on a sniffing spree! Let me know well in advance so I can arrange for some free time, I am not very spontaneous, thanks to my two, small constant followers. 🙂
