Through a post by Dimitri on Sorcery of Scent I became aware of Place Vendome Haute Parfumerie.
A place every perfume lover should know about. On my quest to explore the House of Guerlain in its entirety (I know, quite a project) and no immediate plans to go to Paris, I was delighted to find out about this boutique. They ship (free of charge!) throughout Europe, and added many lovely samples to my order.
I have samples to keep me occupied for quite some time!
But what did I actually order?
Watch this space! 😉
Check out Place Vendome’s website or Facebook Page if you haven’t already.
Heaven is in a small town in Belgium. Who knew?
Thanks so much for posting about this place, I will clicking over there as soon as I finish typing! Very excitied to know that they post samples of the hard to get Guerlains and Les Heures across Europe for free.
BTW my sister has been down to stay with me and we undertook a perfume sniffing marathon at Liberty but sadly (or not) no purchases. I was most impressed with Portrait of a Lady, although a spicy rose is probably not a full bottle purchase for me, it’s sheer quality and strength are really something. Now for that Belgium website…
Ah, looks like you need to order a bottle to get the samples. That will teach me to get over-excited and not read properly!
Tara, good to see you! 🙂
Yes, you have to order something. But I hope you take a look at the site anyway, that store is so beautiful it is worth a look.
I think Portrait is too much for me too to own a full bottle, but a 10ml travel size? Now that I am contemplating for sure. Your restraint in the face of Liberty’s fragrance hall is impressive! 😉
Oh yes that store is just GORGEOUS, a perfume lover’s heaven for sure. Totally agree about the travel size of PoaL – a little goes a long way. As for Liberty, after spraying 5 scents on skin and even more on paper I felt in no position to make a buying decision and realised why samples really are worth all the money I spend on them.
Very much looking forward to all the lovely reviews to come from your Guerlain/Cartier samples (and to find out what you actually ordered!)
So far I am extremely pleased with my samples, hardly a dud amongst the lot. Happy 🙂
I visited the website. What a lovely shop! I’d love to visit it someday! Can’t wait to see what you ordered….
The shop is really beautiful, I would love to go there in person myself, but it is in a small town, highly unlikely I ‘ll ever be in the vicinity. To bad 😦
Oh, oh, oh! How beautiful! And what wonderful extras! I can’t wait to see what it was you bought… could it be the Shalimar extrait?? L’Heure Bleue extrait? Iris Ganache?
I’m going to investigate the website now… maybe they ship to the US!
😦 I guess I should be happy with Luckyscent and Beautyhabit, and all the other wonderful online perfumeries available to me… but I want to shop in Heaven! Maybe someday I’ll make the pilgrimage, since I can’t do it virtually.
It is neither of your guesses! 🙂 Lol, this is fun.
We can explore the Guerlain boutique in New York together in November, that is heaven too.
I’d be happy to declare Heaven is located in Belgium (although I rather suspect Flatbush myself…), but only if they have chocolate there, too! 😉
You bought a Guerlain. I know that much! Fess up! 😉
I am breathlessly awaiting a large pack of samples from First in Fragrance myself, and now, my nose is back to 70% of normal. There’s hope for us yet!
Heaven is in Flatbush, oh my. 😉
Glad your nose is on the mend!
I bought a Guerlain. That’s right. You’ll know more soon…;)
I can’t wait! But you know that already! 😉
Not much longer! 😉
Ohhhhh! What a beautiful sight…
I´d like to get locked up in there for the night to sniff to my hearts content. 🙂
As a child, I used to daydream about being accidentally locked in the shopping centre. To pass the time, I would play with all the new toys.
Today, I’m going to daydream I am locked in that boutique. See you there!
Yay, let us sniff together! See you there! 😉

Someone told me about the Belgium place. Is it cheaper to purchase Guerlain’s there than in the USA?
P.S. Hi to Tara!! haven’t seen you in awhile!
Gloria
I’m afraid nothing is cheaper over here than in the US (at the moment at least). 😉
But it is a great resource, since the boutique exclusives are so hard to find.
