Monday Question – How Do You Choose Your Scent Of The Day?

How dou you select the perfume you are wearing on any particular day?

Do you coordinate with your outfit or your mood?

Do you choose according to the weather, the season, the upcoming activity for the day?

My answer:

I let myself be led my my mood mostly, which almost always coincides with the weather outside. Only occasionally I am wearing out of season scents, to get me out of a bad weather induced funk, mostly.

The blog schedule also sometimes influences my choice of SOTD.

Most days I also have a Scent of the Evening, that I apply after my nightly bath. Not to go out though, but to go to sleep. 😉 My glamorous days and nights are on hiatus for the time being, but there could be worse things…

It is quite random for me… mood, work projects, blog, something people mention on other blogs or on Facebook. By the end of the day, I end up with 4-5 perfumes on my arms. If I have a dance class, then I pretty much always wear Annick Goutal Neroli. It is light, delicate, refreshing and calming.

SOTD for me is either determined by mood & weather, something new that I want to prepare to talk about, or… something that I revisit because of recent blog coverage.
Today I’m seriously considering reaching for the SDV!

As all my perfumes are not in one place it depends which drawer/box etc I open. Yesterday I spotted Habanita out of the corner of my eye and that was the one. My daughter had bought several empty cigar boxes to alter and we sprayed them with it. The smell of fresh cigars is gorgeous but stale is nasty.
I have not decided today but have used Indian nights body lotion so as I don’t have the fragrance will leave it at that.
