A Very Merry Christmas! – Impressions Of Vienna In Winter

Have a wonderful time, all my dear readers and friends!

I hope you all get the chance to spend time with the people you love, eat plenty of good food and find peace and rest and relaxation in the coming days.

There will be some scheduled posts here on OT. Don’t miss a very interesting installment of People in Perfumeland on Wednesday and my Best Of 2013 list on the 27th.

Then I will take some time off to see whether my perfume writing muse will come back to me in the new year. I sure hope so…

I leave you with some awesome pictures that Sandra took here in our fair city of Vienna.

Beautiful pictures! Vienna is a great city and I hope to visit it at Christmas one day (or two).

Give your muse some rest and chocolate. Happy holidays, dear Birgit!

When you are ready, just tell us what you are wearing. Don’t aim for poetry. Just something simple. I’m wearing L’Ambre des Merveilles today, as we have had a welcome cool change, and thinking of you.

Gorgeous pictures. I have never seen snow like that, ever.

  3. Tatiana says:

Beautiful photos of Vienna. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a joyous New Year.

  4. Jordan River says:

Did I miss your Christmas Eve and Christmas Day scent selection?

Hope your Christmas day makes beautiful memories for the boys and the man and for you too.

  5. lucasai says:

Merry Christmas to you and your family, Birgit!
Wonderful pictures! Here in Poland there’s zero snow at the moment and I wish we had some, just a little bit.
Love the city lights. In my hometown there are some at the central market square, but they’re not as spectacular as in Vienna

  6. Vienna looks beautifully snow covered. Merry Xmas and I hope you get your writing mojo back.

  7. poodle says:

Merry Christmas! Enjoy your little well deserved break. Snow was melting here due to unusually high temps but today we are getting freezing rain which I really hate. Snow is bad but at least you can drive in it for the most part. Ice, not so much.
I hope Santa is good to you.

  8. Heya Birgit,
Give your muse time, she’s off helping someone who REALLY needs it. We will wait till you are fully back in the saddle. We love you and wish your whole crew Merry Christmas.
Can’t wait to be in the FREEZING colds of Vienna. Counting the days.
    Portia xx

  9. Wow…those outdoor Christmas chandeliers are spectacular! Birgit, wishing you and yours a wonderful and happy holiday season! A good break will help your mojo no doubt.

  10. Sandra says:

  13. Tara says:

Wow, I’ve never seen such Christmassy gorgeousness than in Sandra’s pics of Vienna. What spectacular lights too. Ours are so often accompanied by corporate sponsorhip and though still pretty, nothing as majestic as yours. I would love to be in Vienna at this time of year.

Take a well earned break, dear B, and look at things afresh in the New Year.

Have a lovely break with your family and friends!

Soemtimes a sabbatical is needed, so take as much time as feels right. As a relative newcomer to your blog, I would love some updates, eg on your tastes, collection, and how you now feel about perfumes you once praised. Doesn’t have to be poetry, or even new and exciting. Looking forward to your ‘best of 2013’ post in a few days.

  18. Lovely pictures, dear Birgit!
