I completely agree with Ines’s thoughts… can’t wait!
The new perfume collaboration by Neela Vermeire and Bertrand Duchafour – Ashoka (eau de parfum).
The only problem I see here – it’s going to be available in early autumn 2013. 😉
I can’t help but wonder, judging by the notes, if it would make a good spring perfume…
Thanks! 😀
Thank you!!! 🙂
Can’t wait for it too! Just got an email from Neela with this info.
And I’m looking forward to try Amouage Opus VII, just saw the glamorous black bottle of it at Amouage Facebook profile.
A black bottle? Oh that is dangerous for me, I love black bottles!
It looks like it is going be an interesting year!
Yes, a matte black bottle with golden elements:
Looks gorgeous, can’t wait to try the scent. Mid April is just few weeks away
an amouage is always welcome at our home….
Now that is good to hear! 🙂
Oh, sounds gorgeous!
It does, doesn’t it?
This sounds like it was made just for me..fig milk, osmanthus, pink and white lotus, tonka beans and SANDALWOOD!!!! (can you tell I like sandalwood 🙂 ??).
Says the woman who threw away Mysore sandalwood… (sorry, I couldn’t resist! 😉 ). The notes make this perfume sound unique and wonderful!
I’m sure Ashoka will be another winner for Neela.
I chose Trayee as my SotD today, because these news really put me in the mood for NVC. 🙂
Oh goodness! You really had me laughing….I guess I am NEVER going to live that one down!
Happy Easter, B!
😀
You too, Brie!
Fig and leather as top notes. Can’t imagine how it will be. But I will certainly give it a spin. Are there other perfumes with those top notes?
Not that I have ever heard of. It sure will be an interesting perfume, Duchaufour does leather so masterfully.
Oh dear I think I may have to at least try a small discovery bottle of this one, thank goodness on my part that it is not until Autumn as I will have half a chance to save up for it. 🙂
I’m glad too it is still a while off, my funds are depleted. 😉
I had a chance to try it at Esxence. Yummy!
Oh, how lovely, Civava! Is there anything you would say Ashoka resembles?
Fig milk definetly…
Hmmm!
Styrax and fir balsam are usually red flags for me, but I will give anything figgy, milky and sandalwoody a spin…
The listed notes are such that I have no idea whatsoever how this is going to smell, and that is great!!! 🙂
I love fig scents so, I can’t wait to try this one! And with leather and sandalwood, even better!
It sounds wonderful indeed! Very curious…
Ooh, I’m beyond excited about Ashoka. And Mohur in extrait concentration! News with trouble written all over it (for my already painfully thin purse).
I agree – troublingly good news. 😉
So looking forward to this!
Me too!!!
