I’m sure you have heard about this by now, but if not: Ari of Scents of Self is organizing a fundraiser for British Women’s charity Refuge. Take a look at her post here.
You can donate any unwanted perfume you might have lurking around your closet and do good! All details are to be found on Ari’s blog.
I have donated two perfumes myself. Let us help Ari in making this a huge success!
Several of my albatrosses are listed too – it is a great cause! 3/10 is of course also 10/3 for some of us, in case it looked like a very leisurely run up to the sale, hehe.
: – )
Yes, thanks for clarifying the start date. Better be safe. 🙂
Hmmm, maybe I can send Ari my one and only albatross… or I could make a purchase on 10/03 instead.
I’m sure she’d be happy about either, Philipp!
Refuge is a great charity and Ari is all kinds of wonderful. If my perfume doesn’t sell I’m going to donate via her Just Giving site anyway. What better way for everyone to get rid of their albatrosses?
Exactly, it is a great thing for all involved. You can only win with this! 🙂
Like Philipp, I shall definitely be looking out for some things to buy too – a high chance of a good match, I reckon.
Me too!
Thanks for letting me know, Birgit – great cause !
Just sent a picture to Ari with a poor little (well, 100ml…) Albatross…
Perfect! Thank you, Lady Jane! (will you disclose which 100ml albatross that is?)
Do you know the feeling, when you buy something only because you’re frustrated and you won’t to comfort yourselves ? (Or you don’t practise that ?)
L’Artisan’s Havana Vanille ended up like a short-time comfort and in long-term turned out to be a mistake…
Rubbish ! It’s “… and you want to comfort yourselves…”
Oh, I know all about that feeling… 🙂
Wow, the friend for whom I custom bought Brulure de Rose the other day almost asked me to buy Havana Vanille instead…so I shall be checking out Ari’s listing like a hawk!
hi editor,
I have alot of used perfumes which i would like to donate it for a good cause. But I’m not in the US, I’m in New Zealand. Do you know where can i donate them?
Hi warrick,
unfortunately I’m based in Austria, so I don’t know a lot about New Zealand. But I think it is maybe possible to donate your perfume to a local women’s shelter or the like? That is what I do… Hope that helps. All the best, B
