I’m permanently tired these days. I feel like I haven’t slept in years (which is kind of true, I did not sleep through the night often since I had my children).
Like a bear I would like to prepare for hibernation. Eat a lot, gather soft down pillows and duvets and only come back out of my cozy cave by springtime.
That not being an option, I console myself with the fact that I would miss wearing all my lovely winter scents while sleeping… 🙂
Before we all take a little Sunday nap, let’s make a roundtrip through Perfumeland and see what the past week had in store:
Tarleisio of Scentless Sensibilities finishes the Clarimonde project with another stunner of a story.
Carrie of Eyeliner on a Cat reviews the new Aroma M perfume – Amber Rouge.
Suzanne reviews Mona di Orio’s Oud on her Perfume Journal and finds similarities to a wonderful book. A must read review of an exceptional perfume. Here is my take.
Undina’s Great Expectations have been crushed…
Another Perfume Blog reviews Chanel Jersey, and is the first I have heard anyone say something positive about this new release, which makes me want to see or rather smell for myself.
Vanessa of Bonkers About Perfume sniffs her way through Zürich, I love her sniffing reports and the good coat.
Persolaise takes a sniff at Amouage’s magnificent home fragrance range. If only I were rich…
Jen of This Blog Really Stinks reviews some of my favorite DSH perfumes, the Italian Splendor Collection. Here is my take.
Joey loves the smell of Ormonde Jayne Man on her man, and who can blame her?
And for your beauty-fix this week check out reviews of the new Edward Bess palettes that, mildly put, have awoken my interest. Soon, soon, I will be able to see those lovelies in person… meanwhile take a look at Best Things in Beauty, The Non-Blonde and The Beauty Look Book.
What are you craving right now? Naps, Palettes, perfumes? Have a lovely Sunday!
Thanks for the link to me and, of course, to everybody else.
What am I craving? The ability to stop time, so that I can get everything done and then enjoy the rest of my Sunday 😉
Wishful thinking. You have a great Sunday too!
I’s like that ability too, please! 🙂
Thank you for the love link, Birgit. Lots of great reading across the perfume blogosphere this week.
What I’m craving this week are more oud oils, though I’ll probably have to rob a bank to satisfy it. 🙂 This past week I received two very small samples of pure oud oil that I ordered from Oriscent, and yesterday through Basenotes I met a guy who is very knowledgeable about the range of ouds, so I’ve had fun exchanging messages and comparing notes with him. He’s definitely got me craving more, though this means no new bottles of perfume in my future if I continue down this path… 😦
That is surely an interesting craving, but expensive, I imagine – and beautiful!
Love the polar bear pic, and thanks for the mention…!
I feel a bit like that bear in fact, for I am craving sleep at the moment. I am often awake in the night and then find myself flagging during the day – and I don’t even have the excuse of small children. : – )
We could share a cave! 🙂 I hope you get to sleep tonight!
That picture resonates with my feelings as well – and I have no excuses whatsoever! I’m getting as much sleep as I need, almost as much as I want – and I still feel sleppy.
Thank you for the link! As I mentioned in my very last comment, I think I got out of not getting those samples more than I would have otherwise 🙂
That is somehow comforting, to know that this is just the season for being sleepy, whether one gets enough or not. Weird logic, but it helps me, so thanks! 🙂
Unfortunatly the human body is not designed for hiberatiom, and be sure I would be the first to do it, but all our muscles would degenerate and we could not even walk,…the bear contracts his muscles or theost important ones during sleep….
Ah, who needs muscles anyway… 😉
Right muscels are overrated but they look good eg on PG 🙂
True! 😉
I’m sorry to hear about your lack of sleep! That is no fun. I hope you got some rest this weekend.
Thank you for the link!
I look forward to sleeping on the plane to NYC, next week. 🙂
Thank you very much for including me! I am flattered and thrilled =)
I too wish for hibernation right now. I’m exhausted! xo
Of course! 🙂
It is awful not being able to sleep! Poor Joey! I hope you get some rest soon!
